The main focus of my work is photographic advocacy campaigns, made in partnerships with purpose-driven organisations. I like to keep my pricing really simple for these clients, they have enough to worry about, but it still needs to align to my business model.

As a potential client/collaborator I want you to fully understand how I work, so here is a concise but clear explanation.

For UK based campaigns, I charge a standard fee of £5,000 per project, excluding expenses. This includes a set creative fee and a blanket licence fee that covers the usage of all the images for a year.

The Creative Fee

The creative fee is £4,000 for each campaign. This is based on the scope of the work being achievable within a timescale of under 30 days. For much longer projects, we would need to discuss costings on an individual basis.

The Licence Fee

A one year usage licence fee of £1,000 is automatically applied to each campaign, so you only need to think about the licence fee if you want to extend it beyond a year, at which time I will make contact with a renewal enquiry.

Yearly licence extensions are charged at £1,000 per year.

If you would like to increase the length of the licence in the initial contract, this can be done for up to 5 years, at a discounted rate of £800 per year.

The licence fee allows you to use all the images from the campaign for digital and print, non-commercial publication. This includes but is not limited to: social media, websites, blogs, exhibitions, reports, books, magazines and newspapers.

Exclusivity

You choose if you want the usage licence to be exclusive or not, and for how long you want that exclusivity to last. I do not include exclusivity as a default, but you can add it on for an extra £500 per year.

Exclusivity means that, for the duration of the exclusivity period, you get full say on how the images can be used. I cannot sell the images to anyone else, and I cannot allow the images to be published without your permission.

Please note that the exclusivity period cannot be longer than the licensing period.

Expenses

I offer two different methods of dealing with expenses:

  1. Upfront: I provide a quote for expenses that covers all costs of production. A 20% surcharge is added to cover any unforeseen costs. I deal with all logistics, bookings and payment throughout the project.

  2. On Completion: You organise all travel logistics and pay for any travel and accommodation costs as they are needed. All other expenses are invoiced with receipts on completion of the project.

Expenses are not included.
