"I draw the red line against the capitalist greed that burns our forest, poisons our water, and calls it progress."

I became an activist when I was in college working with fisher communities, who inspired me to fight for a world where those who feed us can also live with dignity and justice.

I am part of an environmental coalition defending people and the planet, and I helped lead a historic rally on 21 September 2025.

One of my biggest challenges is state repression, because in the Philippines, speaking out about environmental injustice often leads to persecution.

I am inspired by the unwavering resistance of communities who continue to fight for their land and defend their livelihoods against environmental plunder and corruption.

Niña Fegi is a Fisheries graduate from the University of the Philippines Visayas, a Registered Fisheries Professional, and an environmental and social activist committed to defending people and the planet.

She serves as the Coordinator of Panatang Luntian and as a Convenor of Kilusang Bayan Kontra Kurakot, working with grassroots communities, youth organizations, and environmental coalitions across the Philippines.

Her advocacy focuses on promoting ecological justice, combating corruption, and protecting vulnerable communities affected by climate disasters, destructive projects, and government neglect.
